Let's be honest. Some of the assemblies we have here at South get a little... old. The Royalty, the Spam, the same year after year. It's time for a change; time to mix things up.
Not to say we can do any better, but we can certainly do more creatively.
Hence the title, Vidfest. Video Festival. Yes, our special insider-slang may be a bit overwhelming, but we know your videos will be much more appreciated. Which is why we want them in our hands anytime of the year. Yes, that's correct, you can enter at any time. Plus, this way we can check if the submissions are legit and safe for work. If they are, your work is guranteed to be shown in front of thousands, even if you don't go to South.(That's right, you can enter from any school in Pueblo County). Exciting, isn't it? But don't let that nerve-wrack your day. I mean, c'mon, there IS a cash prize at the end. Something like.. $88.88 for first place, $55.55 for second, $33.33 for third, and bonus prizes at that. Sure, it's not Sundance, but for high school you have nothing to lose but a little self-respect if you DON'T ENTER!
Submissions have to be less than 10 minutes or else they get waaay too boring, but longer than 30 seconds because we want something with *some* substance. Those that are submitted first will be shown first. Anything safe for work goes -- that includes animations, music videos, or just a bunch of hoopla. DVDs are prefered, VHS is optional. We'll accept MiniDVs as well, and if you're a real guru you can submit the raw DV/MOV/MP4//M4V/AVI/WMV/etc. file to us on a data disc or hard drive. Got any more questions? Instead of us taking up your eyespace here with answers, just deliver us an electronic mail and we'll answer you personally:
All videos require Quicktime 7 Player. to, well, play.
